The rising tide of violence against health professionals across the world has been highlighted by the World Medical Association following the case of a 73-year-old doctor who was killed in Assam, India last week.

Dr. Bijuli Goswami, Secretary, IMA ASB Women Doctors' Wing and a successful physician, popular socialite and a prolific writer has been nominated for "Woman Empowerment Award" to be conferred during NATIONAL EVECON 2019 on 22^nd & 23^rd June 2019 at Goa. It's a proud moment for IMA ASB.

'IMA DOCTORS WING' under the Banner of PINK MISSION, IMA CACHAR BRANCH, have conducted MENTRUAL HYGIENE WEEK awareness programme amongst students of NETAJI VIDYA BHAVAN ,girls school(The Menstrual hygiene day being observed on28th May )The students who attended the awareness programme were from 7-10th standard. The programme was conducted to raise awareness amongst the girls regarding menstruation and its proper hygiene. Lastly the students were given free sanitary napkins (200packets), sponsored once again by BIOMED , Silchar.

The programme was attended by Dr Bandana Das, Dr.Monika Deb, Dr.Devanjana Dutta Mazumdar, Dr.Dolly Roy, Dr Haimanti Choudhury, Dr Moushumi Biswas and Dr.Smrity Dutta.

On occasion of Menstrual Hygiene Day IMA DISPUR along with IMA WDW and IMA MPH ASSAM had a programme on Adolescent Menstrual Problems.
